the female HOATs of all time: a fine list of tennis girls to ogle

In case you are wondering why there is only a list of male of HOATs here on TSF, it’s because none of the writers had ever thought about writing up the women in that way. And so here I am with the tall task of balancing out our HOAT list with the WTAers that are catching my eyes:
  1. Victoria Azarenka
  2. Maria Kirilenko
  3. Ana Ivanovic
  4. Maria Sharapova
  5. Mandy Minella

What do you think? Who did I miss? I ask you readers to complement my list! (Well, to be fair, I just want to see who I am missing from my small list that I can include on the next update!)

And yes, this article is really worthless without pics, so happy ogling!

2013 check-in: who are your tennis HOATs?

Hottest Tennis Players of All Time

Time Capsule: When we first shared our Hottest-of-All-Time Tennis Players list back in 2007, our list had Lleyton Hewitt, Tommy HaasMarat SafinPatrick Rafter, and Arnaud Clement (with runners-up Nikolay DavydenkoAndy Murray, and Mikhail Youzhny.)

Our tastes have evolved over the years (and there are players whose looks and tennis talent have catapulted them into the TSF orbit). And so our HOAT list, updated for 2013: Grigor Dimitrov, Tommy Haas, Janko Tipsarevic, and Juan Monaco.

shirtless: youtube vids of tennis players

shirtless tennis - grigor dimitrov

File this away under “There’s something for everyone”: The Facebook / YouTube combo of Shirtless Tennis players has popped into our radar in the last few weeks (though they’ve been around since 2011). The vids are very matter-of-fact, grainy clips —  usually from match broadcasts — and aren’t really our thing, but in case it’s yours: you’re welcome.

Also: Remember brflines, which documents briefs/underwear lines of professional athletes? Celebrating its sixth year in business.

shirtless: novak djokovic defeats wawrinka in melbourne

Novak Djokovic Shirtless

Part of the deal: What would the Australian Open be without a marathon match involving Novak Djokovic? The No. 1 seed got all tangled up in a five-setter against Stan Wawrinka, who saved two match points before going down 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-7(5), 12-10.

And what would a Djokovic post-match celebration be without the Serb tearin’ up his (Uniqlo) top?

shirtless: rafa strips down (some more) for armani

Who’s got next? With Janko Tipsarevic joining the ranks of ATP fellas who have stripped down in front of the camera, Rafael Nadal needed to get his gusto back from the Serb’s sweaty six-pack. He did just that last week as Armani began to push out its fall campaign, full of swoon-worthy shots of a barely-clad Rafa. The ATP web site has the full set of Rafa photos here.

On court: This week has been a good one for Tipsarevic, who is into the semifinals in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, a hurting Novak Djokovic has pulled out of the China Open due to a bad back.

For all you fans of good legs, check out the Spanish Davis Cup team from a couple of weeks ago. No Nair needed here.
