id: what is anastasija sevastova wearing?

Qualifier Anastasija Sevastova is through to the quarterfinals of this week’s China Open after Nadia Petrova withdrew because of injury. Must be a welcome respite for the Latvian — she played three-setters both in upsets of both Sam Stosur and Dominika Cibulkova. Unfortunately, her next opponent is hometown fave Li Na. See the rest of the draw here.

Teachable moment: We first saw Sevastova at the 2010 US Open, where she lost in the first round to Regina Kulikova, and snapped these pics of her dress. Can anyone out there ID the brand for us?

More: A few more pics after the cut…

  1. Yes, it is Kneissl. Check out their website. http://www.kneissl.com/

  2. Thanks for the tip, Jay!

  3. Anastasija Sevastova’s clothes are by Kneissl, an austrian ski & racquet company — Ivan Lendl used to play with Kneissl racquets before changing to Adidas (and his Adidas racquet was made by a Kneissl mould); Thomas Muster also played with Kneissl late in the 90ies.

I think the brand went out of the racquet business for some time and is trying now a come-back that includes sportswear…

  4. Kevin Curren got to the 1985 Wimbledon final playing with a Kneissl and Helena Sukova played with Kneissl for most of her career.
