Serena Williams forced to go all out versus Heather Watson

In a thrilling  match Serena Williams defeated home crowd favorite Heather Watson at Wimbledon in three sets 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 to reach the fourth round. Williams admitted that this has been one of the hardest matches in her career and wonders how she managed to turn the tables. Williams was very impressed by the high level of play of her English opponent, rising star, Heather Watson.

But concluded that it was her mental perseverance that pulled her through the match.

Serena now meets sister Venus Williams for a spot in the quarters.

Venus Williams had an easier time than sister Serena and defeated her Serbian opponent Alexandra Krunic in straight sets 6-3, 6-2

Nick Kyrgios upsets 7th seed Milos Raonic

Nick Kyrgios caused the upset of the day when he defeated Canadian Milos Raonic who was seeded seventh. In the battle of the serves the 20 year old Australian managed to hit 34 aces. Kyrgios was warned by the umpire for smashing his racket. He smashed it so hard, the racket ended up in the audience.

And the winner is: Stan “the man” Wawrinka. And that is just to prove that that shot wasn’t a coincidence at the French Open!

    That Wawrinka shot is amazing. It is a practiced move as you can see. Also who I would have kept Nick’s racket!
