I had an interesting conversation on Tennis Served Fresh Twitter and it turns out it that I was actually having a conversation with one of the people of a company that is currently gathering funding via a crowdfunding campaign that can be found on IndieGoGo.
The company is called Pulse Play and they are currently developing a smart watch for tennis players that able to: record and announce your score live as you play, use your match history to give you a global ranking, and connect you with awesome new opponents who play at your level.
Pulse Play is the first complete social scorekeeping & ranking system for casual tennis players. It is designed to be simple to use, fun, and practical, so you can enjoy its tennis features on court with a simple push of a button, but also wear it as a stylish everyday watch.
The IndieGoGo campaign has reached 70% of their $75.000 target. CEO and three times Grand Slam winner Andy Ram is very pleased with the success of the campaign.
“We couldn’t be more excited about how the campaign is going so far. We’ve raised 70% of our goal in just eight days. With the continued support of racket sport players, we’ll be able to bring their games to the next level through technological innovation.”
“The prospect of being able to bring professional scorekeeping and wearable technology to center courts across the world has our team eager to get the mass production process underway. With just an easy click between points, players can have an accurate record of their progress at their fingertips.”
You can find and follow the developments of the Pulse Play on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn. You can ofcourse also visit their website: http://www.pulse-play.com/
