The Mouratoglou Tennis Academy was officially unveiled by Patrick Mouratoglou.
Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic were both present among the 1200 guests, and thereby showed their support toward Patrick Mouratoglou’s project. In an event packed inauguration which kick-started at 3PM with a press conference attended by Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic who shared their thoughts on the Academy project in front of the members of the worldwide press, which was followed by a tour of the state of the art Mouratoglou Tennis Academy facilities.
Now located in the heart of the French Riviera, in Sophia-Antipolis, the Academy becomes the largest tennis academy in Europe.
2 years of construction were necessary to put together a unique 12 hectares complex, which combines the most advanced sporting facilities and a 4 star hotel resort, recently named the “Beachcomber French Riviera”.
Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, a driving force in sports
The Mouratoglou Tennis Academy will fast become a driver for the World of sports with more than 3000 players welcomed and trained every year. A very high standard training center with 34 tennis courts (including 8 covered courts), a pro shop, a medical center equipped with the latest technology, an exceptional environment for event management, but also a complete hospitality infrastructure capable of welcoming professional players, families and youngsters from the world over.
The highlights of the evening included The Mouratoglou Grand Opening party attended by more than 1200 guests and a plethora of celebrities (Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Teddy Riner, Grigor Dimitrov, Jeremy Chardy, Fabrice Santoro, Henri Leconte, Guy Drut, Sylvain Wiltord, Louis Saha, Denis Gargaud, BobSinclar…).
This event also marked the celebration of the 2nd edition of the annual gala diner in favor of the Champ’Seed Foundation, founded in 2014 by Patrick Mouratoglou, which has for mission to help and support the best junior players from all over the world who do not have the financial means to pursue a professional career.

The climax of the evening included a tennis exhibition with a selection of student-players from the Academy who got a chance to hit the ball with none other than Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic before DJ Bob Sinclar got the party started on the giant stage erected on the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy Center Court specially set up for the occasion.
