The oldest man left standing by the third round of the 2011 U.S. Open men’s singles event turned out to be the latest scalp of Donald Young. The American had the crowd behind him as he defeated the 24th seed Juan Ignacio Chela 7-5, 6-4, 6-3, and Young’ll face Andy Murray in the fourth round (joining compatriots Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, and John Isner in the sweet 16). See the rest of the men’s draw here.
