ana ivanovic plays IPTL, redfoo talks azarenka split and novak djokovic pics of marriage surface on the web

Novak Djokovic got married as we reported last week. We found out that the place where they got married was completely secured and save for a few photos from a long distance we didn’t get to see much. But now Serbia’s Hello Magazine has managed to get the exclusive.

Meanwhile Ana Ivanovic has announced that she will be playing International Premier Tennis League (IPTL). The league will take place during the offseason starting at November 28 and ending on December 13.  The IPTL will start in Manila (Philipines) and then onto Singapore, Delhi and Dubai.

“It’s very excting,” said Ana. “It’s an intense, breathless concept that I’m sure will provide great entertainent for the supporters, and also for the players.

“This is a great innovation and I’m really looking forward to taking part, and visiting each city.”

But for now Ana is still enjoying her vacations in Mallorca.

Talk about emotional break ups, Redfoo opened up about the break up with Belrussian Victoria Azarenka. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Redfoo told that it was their busy schedule that drove them apart.

‘I want to cryogenically freeze the love, put it in a lab, and come back to it when everything is organised and I can appoint another captain of the ship,’ the quirky singer said.

‘We both had strong careers and we both want to support each other.

‘It was tough. I found myself oftentimes thinking more about their career.’

I have to admit that cryogenically freezing the love, it’s one of the most romantic sentences I have read in a long time.  In the meantime, Vika seems to be doing just fine.

Novak Djokovic got married

Novak Djokovic  got  married to his longtime girlfriend Jelena Ristic.  The pair is scheduled to get married on Thursday , July  9 at the Aman Sveti Stefan resort in Montenegro.  Notable guests at the wedding are coach Boris Becker, Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic,  but not former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic.  Rumor has it that  best bud Andy Murray is Novak Djokovic’ best man.

The couple is currently expecting their first child. (Would you call that a shotgun wedding?)

Another coach for Ana Ivanovic

Ana Ivanovic has parted ways with coach Nemanja Kotic. The break up was a mutual one and Ivanovic will now be looking for a new coach.  According to the statement released on the official Ana Ivanovic website the contract expired after Wimbledon and after long amicable discussions the pair decided to call it quits.

“Ana and Nemanja Kontic have ended their coaching partnership by mutual agreement,” the statement said. “Kontic’s contract expired after Wimbledon and, after amicable discussions, the pair decided not to renew it.”

In more Ana Ivanovic news, Ana announced on her official Facebook page that she will partake in the Champions Battle exhibition  in November and will face none other than Serena Wiliams in a best of three match.

But first  Ana is taking a well deserved break by celebrating the summer before the US Open series starts and who better to show us how a beach vacations should be celebrated?  (Photo credit Ana Ivanovic Official Facebook)

Nick Bollettieri enters International Tennis Hall of Fame

In an interesting interview conducted by Tom Perrotta for Tennis TuesdayNick Bollettieri  talks about entering the International Tennis Hall of Fame, coaching and life.

What’s the key to success, in tennis and in life?
You’ve got to be crazy enough to do things that most people wouldn’t even try because they are afraid of failure.

So there you go, the key of success, in tennis and in life delivered to you on a silver platter and no strings attached!

Victoria Duval is battling cancer

Tennis teen Victoria Duval is diagnosed Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was diagnosed after the first qualifying match at Wimbledon.

“Vicky will undergo treatment right away and due to her overall good health and isolation of the cancer, the prognosis is a full recovery in a few months,” IMG said in a statement.

“I intend to put up my best fight and have a full recovery. I picture myself healthy, stronger and competing again soon with even more appreciation for the game I so love.” , said Duval.

And let’s hope she comes out on top!

Maria Sharapova knows her Porsches, wants you to know about a new Porsche platform

Maria Sharapova showed us how to drive a Porsche but mostly wants you to know about the new online platform for Porsche Communication. Yes, as if you are still reading the reasons as to why she is driving a Porsche. Please…dont kid yourselves. Have fun watching the video.

Eugenie Bouchard, tennis new it girl

Eugenie Bouchard has, with her impressive record this season and let’s not forget, stunning looks, attracted the attention of many agencies. IMG’s head of tennis Fernando Soler told Bloomberg that he’d love to sign on Bouchard.

“She is talented, she is beautiful, she has a very nice personality, she has a strong domestic market, she has international appeal.”

Bouchard’s current contract with Lagardere Unlimited is up this year and so the competition to sign her is fierce. While IMG has expressed a strong interest, Lagardare Unlimited is very keen to extend the contract with their newest big name player.  They even state that Bouchard is more marketable than Maria Sharapova, who netted 23 million last year.

Would Bouchard be a good fit for IMG or do you think that she should stay loyal to Lagardere Unlimited? Hit the comments and let us know. We are always intered in hearing from you!

sightings in the stands: jelena ristic

Ladies, watch your back: The world’s current No. 1 TWAG, Jelena Ristic, is doing her part to make bf Novak Djokovic — or at least his player’s box — look great during his matches. Loving the multi-charmed necklace!

And on the court… Djokovic easily dispatched Argentine Carlos Berlocq 6-0, 6-0, 6-2 in his second-round match tonight. His next opponent, sigh, is Kolya. See how the men’s draw is stacking up.

behind the scenes: jelena and nole's photoshoot

Move over, cameraman. The ATP Uncovered video series has this great behind-the-scenes look at Novak Djokovic and Jelena Ristic doing a photo shoot for Hello! magazine in July. Our fave part? GF Jelena speaks her mind on being pampered, Nole’s dream and living it up — together. Watch above.

tsf exclusive: novak married? rumors say yes

Is that a dog on your finger? Or is your ring just really fluffy? (PacificCoastNews.com photo)

Sources tell TSF exclusively that Novak Djokovic and longtime GF Jelena Ristic tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, small islands in the Caribbean. The two were said to be staying at the Palm Island Resort in early March, which landed during Djoko’s time between Dubai and Davis Cup.

TSF was unable to confirm such rumors. So they remain just that – rumors. The Palm Island Resort would not confirm if Djokovic had stayed there in the recent past, and emails to his agent, Benito Pérez-Barbadillo, have gone unanswered this week. No mention of the trip was made on Djoko’s website. One local resident of the island confirmed Djokovic had been there, but did not want to be identified.

Nole and Ristic have been a solid couple the last few years, the two vacationing together quite often and recently pictured in Dubai over the holidays holding hands and strolling on the beach. Whether or not one of those hands has a big rock – metaphorically or not – on it now, remains to be told.

short balls: tennis goes cross-country

By Benjamin Snyder

Bottom’s on top: It’s official! The classy poster of a woman scratching her derriere in flattering tennis whites has been posted as one of the all-time best-selling posters, according to a recent article in the Guardian. Model and poster will soon be reunited after 35 years for an upcoming event celebrating tennis art, writes Patrick Kingsley. Pictured above, Fiona Walker, now 52, tells all in a piece from the Telegraph. (ed. note: Meanwhile, how cute is Patrick?? TSF is always looking for more freelancers… )

Feeling bi(coastal): Indian Wells is over, and it’s time to move on to Miami for some more fun-in-the-sun at the Sony Ericsson Open. But, before we leave Cali behind, how about news on the Serb we’ve been loving lately, Novak Djokovic? Not only did he thrash Rafa in the final set to take the title, word on the interwebs is Caro has been pining for him, at least symbolically. Move over, Ana – and longtime girlfriend Jelena Ristic – this lovely lady has the ranking and the sense of humor Nole just might be looking for these days. Or do you think he’d go for more of a Fiona Walker-type?

Ballin': Tonight several top players – Nole and Rafa among them – were taking to the soccer pitch for a fundraiser for the victims of the Japan tsunami disaster. If it looks anything like the boys playing a little soccer tennis last summer, we’re sad we missed it.

World order, struck down: So while Novak’s getting the girls, the titles and playing some soccer for a good cause to boot, Roger‘s just plain losing – a lot. Ousted by the Djoker in a three-set semifinal showdown for the world no. 2 spot, Rog also succumbed in doubles with partner Stanislas Wawrinka. Fed suffered a “triple tennis blow” in Cali, says one piece. Now that’s one way to put it – and no, it doesn’t mean what you were hoping it did.

The Devil Watches Tennis: At least Roger has one Anna Wintour to comfort him. The Vogue editor is the subject of a much-talked-about Wall Street Journal magazine piece released online today. What is Anna doing in the lead image of the profile? Watching Rog – on TV.

As if they needed an excuse: Boasting like it’s some sort of change of pace, Miami is getting ready for the SEO with music, parties and … well, tennis. Is that any different than any other time of the year? Our pick: Funkshion Fashion Week. Shows happen all week long, including the Masquerade Motel on Saturday night, a beach-front show that’s already been sold out.

Little lady on the small screen: Dominika Cibulkova is being noticed for more than her small size (she’s just 5’3). For the entirety of the SEO, she’ll be a star on the online reality show Xperia Hot Shots, which is set to “follow the lives of six aspiring stars of the WTA as they try to build their Facebook fan base.” Says Domi: “It is so exciting to be part of this unique campaign … it’s a privilege to be just one of only a few girls selected for this.” While Cibulkova has 4,652 “likes” on FB, we’re curious: is that really her in the profile pic? Coulda fooled us.
