Sharapova / Sugarpova launches Accessories Collection at Bendel

Maria Sharapova celebrated the one-year anniversary of Sugarpova by showing off the Sugarpova Accessory Collection on Tuesday at Henri Bendel.

The line, which includes jewelry, hair accessories, apparel, and cosmetic cases, officially launched at the Bendel flagship on Fifth Ave. on HenriBendel.com, and Sugarpova.com — all on Tuesday.

Sharapova co-designed the collection alongside the Henri Bendel team of accessories designers.

As part of the launch, Bendel has set up a “Maria’s Must-Haves On & Off the Court” pop up shop on the 2nd floor of the Fifth Avenue store.

“It has been such an exhilarating first year for Sugarpova and there is nothing more exciting than to celebrate this milestone by creating an exclusive accessories line with Henri Bendel,” said Sharapova via a press release. “These accessories are fun and chic while multifunctional.”

Sweepstakes: Maria fans that can’t make it to the New York City pop up shop will still have an opportunity to partake in the festivities by entering the Henri Bendel and Sugarpova sweepstakes on the Henri Bendel Facebook page. Entrants have the opportunity to enter-to-win a prize package including Sugarpova candy, all items from the accessory line, tennis product and gear and tickets for two to the U.S. Open.

it’s fashion week, after all

Serena Williams knows how to glam up a trophy photo opp (uhh, remember Justine?). And especially since it’s Fashion Week, she went all out, opting for a bold, red Diane von Furstenburg dress as she mingled with the brass in Times Square.

The new world. No. 1 rounded out her look with some earrings from Henri Bendel and the latest Tribute peep-toe platform pumps by YSL.

Buy: Tribute Pump, $660, YSL.com; get a similar DvF dress, the Duke Dress, $345.
