The 4th Annual Necker Cup Pro-Am is set for November 28th through December 3rd, on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands. Dubbed “The World’s Most Exclusive Tennis Pro-Am,” the 6-day event pairs 16 ATP/WTA Tour Players/Legends with 16 amateur teams in an effort to raise money for worthy causes. Organized by Premier Tennis Group, a leader in luxury tennis travel and event management, the event has raised more than $2.5 million for various charities in its three years in existence.
2015 Necker Cup field tennis greats
This year, confirmed pros at the Necker Cup include Boris Becker, Marion Bartoli, Tracy Austin, Chris Evert, Brad Gilbert, Johan Kriek, David Nalbandian, Martina Navratilova, John Peers, Victor Troicki and Donald Young. Adding to the star power off the court is actress and model Charlotte McKinney, who will be on hand to conduct on-site interviews. Legendary actor and comedian Chevy Chase will participate as celebrity tennis pro and auctioneer. Jewel, the Grammy award-winning singer, will perform during an intimate back beach dinner for guests.
Spaces are still available for amateurs of all levels to join the star-studded 5-night/6-day tournament. The Necker Cup culminates on December 2nd, when guests will be treated to a world-class tennis exhibition, dinner and live charity auction, followed by what’s been dubbed the “End of the World Party” with DJ Mehow and a performance from Grammy-winning artist Sean Paul.
