On Thursday night (8/27), stars of the tennis court and the kitchen aligned at the 16th Annual Taste of Tennis Gala at the W New York. Guests including Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman, #1 ranked singles player Serena Williams, who looked fabulously sporty in a fitted LBD and Nikes, as well as sister Venus Williams joined sports and culinary enthusiasts for the evening. Venus even showed off her culinary chops by throwing on an apron and got behind the burner for a live cooking demo with headlining celebrity chef Marc Murphy.

Co-hosted by World Doubles Champions the Bryan brothers, fellow players John Isner, Victoria Azarenka, Eugenie Bouchard and Gael Monfils attended the interactive tasting experience to mingle and sample bites by New York’s most prestigious chefs. Culinary stations were set up throughout the space for guests to chow down on dishes from top toques including Jonathan Waxman (Jams), Alfred Portale (Gotham Bar & Grill), Daniel Holzman (The Meatball Shop), Ilan Hall (The Gorbals) and more. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the rehabilitation of Eli Kulp, a beloved Philadelphia-based chef who was paralyzed in the recent Amtrak train derailment.
