Roger Federer gets schooled

While playing Gregor Dimitrov at an exhibition at Madison Square Garden, New York. Roger Federer ran into an unexpected challenger.  A 12 year old was going to take on the Swiss legend and nobody expected much from him. However when on the field…ahh see for yourself.

Hingis to return to Fed Cup

After an absence of 17 years Martina Hingis is set to return to the Fed Cup for her home country Switzerland being called up by Swiss coach Heinz Guenthardt.  Hingis last played for Swiss in 1998 where she lost versus Spain in Geneva.

Hingis will be joined by 22nd-ranked Timea Bacsinszky, Stefanie Voegele (91) and Viktorija Golubic (236) as Switzerland bid to return to the World Group for the first time since 2004.

Ana Ivanovic training hard for clash versus Paraguay

It is not just Martina Hingis who will be in action for the Fed Cup this upcoming weekend. Ana Ivanovic is another player preparing for the clash versus Paraguay.

Training really hard at the moment. Fed Cup is on the horizon, and I’m also using this time to strengthen my legs before the clay court season: it’s so important to have a strong base when playing on clay.

Serbia will play Paraguay in the World Group II play-offs as it looks to complete an immediate exit from Europe/Africa Zone Group I.

The announcement was followed by the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the WTA Tour at the DDF.

In the Game of Love, Winner takes All

Now before you think this is some pick up line at a local coffeeshop where I usually go to to pick up a girl. Rest assured…I do much better than that. No, the title of this paragraph is the title of a wonderfully written book by Ara Grigorian.  You can pre order the book at: https://curiosityquills.com

The synopsis:

The book is set in the high-stakes world of professional tennis where fortune and fame can be decided by a single point.  Gemma Lennon has spent nearly all of her 21 years focused on one thing:  Winning a Grand Slam.  After a disastrous and very public scandal and subsequent loss at the Australian Open, Gemma is now laser-focused on winning the French Open. Nothing and no one will derail her shot at winning – until a heated chance encounter with brilliant and sexy Andre Reyes threatens to throw her off her game.  Breaking her own rules, Gemma begins a torrid affair with Andre who shows her that love and a life off the court might be the real prize.  That is, until their secret affair is leaked to the press, making headlines across the globe, putting Gemma and Andre in the crosshairs of the swarming paparazzi and Andre in danger of losing a lucrative consulting contract.  With time running out and their relationship threatening to implode, Andre uses his expertise to expose the betrayer – and discovers that Gemma may not be the real target, after all.  In the Game of Love, winner takes all.
