Fred Perry has partnered with stylist Alastair McKimm (i-D, Italian Vogue, Numero Homme) to produce pieces for FP’s Limited Edition line. This comes after their successful collaboration on a Blank Canvas collection last summer.
Browse: The crewneck (£75), polo (£85), and hoodie (£100) — all fake long-sleeved — keep relatively tame, which is in line with most Fred Perry goods. They’re all twin-tipped at the sleeves and collars, plus all come with removeable laurels (those circular badges on the breast). Get a closer look here.
Blank Canvas: McKimm had previously collaborated with Fred Perry on the Blank Canvas series. As you can see above, he chose to draw stripes, logos, ties, collars, etc. on short-sleeved crewnecks.
Artists who’ve participated on this project include David Saunders aka David David, who created this medallion shirt;
and Peter Jensen, whose f/w ’06 collection of polos with matching neckties/bowties plus cardigans with elbow patches received the 2006 Best Collaboration award from Wallpaper. He also designed a collection of women’s wear that came out this past March.
