The Serbian team of Nenad Zimonjic, Janko Tipsarevic, Viktor Troicki, and Arsenije Zlatanovic defeated the German team of Nicolas Kiefer, Mischa Zverev, Rainer Schuettler, and Philipp Kohlschreiber to win their first Tennis World Team Cup title, proving to the world that there is a strong tennis presence in Serbia — even without Novak Djokovic.

Qualifier wins: Alona Bondarenko will have to wait for her next chance to nab her second career title after qualifer Alexandra Dulgheru took the Warsaw Open with a 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-0 victory over the Ukranian.

One of four: 25-year-old Guillermo Garcia-Lopez became the fourth Spaniard — along with Rafa, Tommy Robredo, and Juan Carlos Ferrero — to win a singles title this year by taking the 2009 Austrian Open. He beat Julien Benneteau 3-6, 7-6 (1), 6-3. This is Gigi’s first career title. He’ll face Andreas Seppi in the first round of the French.

Aravane’s first: The busty Aravane Rezai won her first SEWTA title in Strasbourg, beating Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 7-6 (2), 6-1. The ruffles on that top are dee-lish!
