Instead of patting James Blake on the back for being an American who makes it past the first round of the French Open — he beat Rainer Schuettler 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 (3) — take that hand and just smack him upside the head. This Nike Summer Global Power Crew is in the running for most boring outfit of the fortnight!

I don’t know if I agree. It certainly is understated, and you don’t often see the earth tone thing going on in tennis clothes. But I wort of like that for a change. With the exception of Federer’s outfits, men’s apparel seems to be overdesigned…too may bells, whistles, stripes, etc. My $.02
Bob — Nice to finally see you in the comments section.
Re: Blake’s shirt, I’m just disappointed that he can’t translate his potential as a model to his on-court clothes. He would look better than Roger or Rafa. And even if he doesn’t win as many titles, he’d move more inventory for Nike in the North American market.
