Have you seen those photos from Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai’s opening ceremonies?
Simple lapel-less dark grey suits with light blue cheongsam-cut dress shirts on David Ferrer (above), Fernando Gonzalez, Richard Gasquet, and Nikolay Davydenko; while Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic decided to pair their shirts with tuxedo jackets… what?!? Of course, prom queens Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal stood out in their black suits.
Gone are the silk fabrics and the flowers — a marked improvement from what they wore in 2006 and 2005.

Brackets: The hard-hitting Gonzalez should join Federer as the two semifinalists to come out of the Red Group by week’s end, and Federer will take the Cup. The Gold Group should have Ferrer and a rested Djokovic vying for the final spot, with Nole making an appearance in the finals.

Thank god all these long-haired spanish don’t look half bad when their hair isn’t dripping with sweat and awkwardly tucked behind bandanas. Unfortunately we mostly see them sweaty and in bandanas, so I still think most of them should think about cutting their hair.
Seems to me that Ferrer is also wearing a tuxedo jacket which, I agree, is not a great look.
